Glasgow Caledonian University - 13/11/09

I haven't been able to post for ages because I've moved house and have no Internet access so until that's sorted, this might not be so regular. I was filming at GCal this week and i love their Fashion Factory where all the students learn their trade. I managed to grab a few pictures of the interior (and of Martin at work) as well as the view from my window. Picture taken at 15:00hrs amongst the dismembered bodies!

John Knox House, Royal Mile, Edinburgh - 30/10/09

The window today belongs to John Knox House in the Royal Mile. I'm filming here today as part of the Scottish International Storytelling Festival which finishes tomorrow. It's a gorgeous building which fuses this ancient house with a modern extension. Well worth a look. Picture taken at 14:00 on a lovely Friday.

Calton Road, Edinburgh - 29/10/09

It was a beautiful morning here in Edinburgh and I wanted to share the glorious view from my office. We look out on to Jacob's Ladder which leads (rather steeply) up to Royal Terrace. On a morning like this it's pretty breathtaking. Picture taken at 08:50am but not uploaded until now due to the internet being ridiculous.

Loopy Lorna's, Morningside Road, Edinburgh - 28/10/09

Went out for a delightful birthday tea with my sister so this window belongs to Loopy Lorna's teahouse in Morningside. I love the black and pink interior and the home-made scones and jam are the best I've tasted (and I'm somewhat of a sconnoisseur). Picture taken at noon, tea served in a teapot complete with resplendent turkey tea-cosy.

Great Junction Street, Edinburgh - 27/10/09

I'm dog-sitting today so there's a rather wet dog siting in my window. It's been raining all day in Edinburgh so multiple cups of tea have been consumed and lots of TV has been watched. It's a bit luxurious being off on a weekday (not to mention unusual) so I like to indulge in a bit of people watching - Leith is fantastic for this - and the Polish barber opposite always had a great mix of people coming and going. Picture taken at 15:20 and thanks to Winston for modelling.

Great Junction Street, edinburgh - 26/10/09

The kitchen window today which has a really bizarre view. We look out onto the back of a music club which as some grey walls and some white walls. This window is almost impossible to clean hence the ancient mud splatters all the way down it. Picture taken at 8:15am on my last Monday in this flat. Sad face.

Great Junction Street, edinburgh - 25/10/09

Some evening pictures from the weekend. I swear that this pub is never closed - there's always someone inside. I really like the effect of the Lothian Buses with their distinctive blue and red identity when used with the night settings on my camera. Picture taken at 7pm (ish) on Sunday.
